General Objective

Supervising and enhancing the sustainability of quality assurance and accreditation practices across all university sectors, providing support services, implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) in various university sectors, measuring and evaluating the quality of programs offered by the university (academic, research, and community), and contributing to improving the quality of educational outcomes at all levels.

Responsibilities

  1. Implementing the approved plans, programs, and budget for the unit’s activities.
  2. Monitoring the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in colleges, deanships, and administrative departments, and issuing annual follow-up reports.
  3. Promoting a culture of quality and accreditation across all academic and administrative sectors of the university.
  4. Providing consultation and support to all university sectors regarding quality-related issues and their implementation.
  5. Identifying institutional accreditation requirements and supervising and monitoring the implementation of the institutional accreditation action plan.
  6. Liaising with local and international bodies related to institutional, programmatic, and administrative accreditations.
  7. Providing recommendations and consultations regarding the university’s accreditation strategies and priorities.
  8. Nominating and following up on program accreditation procedures with the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA).
  9. Supporting the university’s colleges in obtaining academic accreditation for their programs from local and international bodies.
  10. Coordinating between the university’s colleges and the NCAAA to meet quality and accreditation requirements.
  11. Reviewing program and course reports and self-study reports from colleges.
  12. Conducting site visits to academic and administrative sectors for quality assurance review and auditing purposes.
  13. Proposing action plans to meet the requirements of accrediting bodies and identifying responsible parties.
  14. Supervising the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of external reviewers’ visits for institutional, programmatic, and administrative accreditations.
  15. Preparing and developing the necessary templates for the unit’s workflow.
  16. Archiving, organizing, and maintaining the unit’s documents electronically for easy retrieval and use.
  17. Contributing to identifying the unit’s needs in terms of human resources, equipment, and materials, and ensuring their provision.
  18. Preparing periodic reports on the unit’s activities, achievements, and performance improvement suggestions, and submitting them to the Vice Dean for Quality.
  19. Issuing monthly reports on the status of programs applying for programmatic accreditation.
  20. Providing proposals and consultations regarding quality standards for administrative sectors.
  21. Preparing and following up on the implementation of plans and programs for the unit’s activities after approval.
  22. Developing assessment and evaluation tools to determine the quality levels of the activities and programs conducted by the Deanship and its units.
  23. Conducting statistical studies on the quality of academic learning outcomes.
  24. Preparing reports on program learning outcomes assessment, performance evaluation, reviewing, analyzing, and discussing the results with stakeholders.
  25. Measuring and evaluating student satisfaction with courses and academic programs.
  26. Designing and preparing tools, metrics, and surveys related to the evaluation of academic program outcomes.
  27. Promoting a culture of measurement and evaluation among university members.
  28. Evaluating, updating, and developing procedures, practices, and assessment tools used to measure and evaluate academic performance at the university.
  29. Perform any other tasks within the scope of responsibilities.
